7 Activities for your New England Summer Bucket List

Have a clam bake. Grab a group of friends, some Gooseneck wines and celebrate summer. After all, can you even have a “New England Summer’ without LOBSTAH?

Attend a festival or fair. Get a group together and experience some of New England’s most unique fairs this summer. Beyond food and art festivals, you could try Quechee, Vermont’s Hot Air Balloon Festival, Westford, Massachusetts’ CountryFest, Central Falls, Rhode Island’s Cherry Blossom Festival, or Newburyport, Massachusetts’ Spring Fest.


Summer Adventures in New England

Go on an adventure. Hit up Groupon and check out some of the incredible adventures waiting right outside your door! Go on a whale watch, go white water rafting, try horseback riding, take a train for a sightseeing trip, or kayak down a river. Not to mention, there are 13 state parks just in Rhode Island alone. Get outside!

Go to a drive-in. There are loads of drive-ins in New England!  Showing both current hits and nostalgic classics, pack up the car with blankets and watch a movie under the stars!

Waterfire in Providence: Summer in RI Must-See!

Attend WaterFire. This Providence tradition has grown to include over 100 bonfires along the rivers. Wander along the waterfront or enjoy a romantic gondola ride. Eat at local restaurants overlooking the water or just sample among the many food booths. Mingle with local artisans and musicians. It’s no mystery why Waterfire attracts millions of visitors every year!

Grab a sweet treat. You can hardly drive anywhere in New England without finding an amazing ice cream shop! But the king of all is the Ben and Jerry’s Factory – Located in Waterbury, Vermont, the Ben & Jerry’s Factory offers a 30-minute guided tour. They also have a gift shop, and of course, a scoop shop!

Have a beach day. Whether you prefer the rocky coast of Maine, the Cape or hit one of Rhode Island’s many beach spots, you can’t have too many beach days!
