If you want to impress your guests, you can’t go wrong with sangria. It’s sweet, cold, and delicious. Here’s a great recipe we know you’ll enjoy.

Ingredients:
  • 1 Bottle (750 ml) of Gooseneck Rioja or Gooseneck Rose (to keep with the Spanish origin)
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 ½ cups strawberry lemonade
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 2 lemons sliced
  • 2 cups ginger ale
Directions:
Pour wine into a large pitcher and add sliced strawberries and lemons. Next add the sugar, strawberry lemonade, and stir. Make sure all the sugar is completely dissolved. Lastly add ginger ale. Stir again. Serve in a glass with ice. ¡Salud!

Summer bleeds strawberries. If you have some strawberries that are a little too ripe, you can add them to this
drink. The darkness from the red wine will hide the less than perfect strawberries. Another thing to note: the longer they sit in the wine, the more flavor they develop.

The lemon slices are more for decoration. It helps guests know what is inside the drink. That way you won’t have to tell people what is inside the drink every 5 minutes. More time to spend on fireworks and preventing kids from catching on fire.

We are using the Gooseneck Rioja. The ginger ale and the strawberry lemonade cut the robustness of the Rioja. If you prefer a milder sangria, you can use the Gooseneck Rose or add more sugar. It’s all about what you like. Either one works well in this drink.

Cheers!
